Safety glasses
The Silad company designs and delivers various types of glass panes and windows.
Types of glass panes:
- flat / bended
- tempered / laminated
- insulated „IGU“
- heated, printed
- fire resistant
- bulletproof
Tempered glass
Tempered glass is four to five times stronger than annealed glass of the same size and thickness against impact. Tempered glass has higher thermal strength, and it can withstand high temperature changes up to 250°C. Tempered glass is considered as safety glass.
Laminated glass
Laminated glass made of different sheet glass has different features such as durability, heat resistance and moisture resistance etc. In Europe ,laminated glass is applied to most buildings to avoid dangerous accidents because of its strong anti-shocking and anti-break-in abilities.
Insulating glass
Insulating glass (also referred to as “insulated glass”) refers to two or more lites of glass sealed around the edges with an air space between to form a single unit. Commonly referred to as an “IGU,”insulating glass is the most effective way to reduce air-to-air heat transfer through the glazing.
